The corrosion resisance and oxidation resistance of Fe-base alloy could be enhanced by adding of Ni, Cr elements. The overall performance could be better than Ni-base brazing alloy such as BNi2, BNi5, BNi7, further more, Fe-base alloy allows larger brazing clearance than other alloys.
Good corrosion resistance, wide clearance tolerance, nice wettability, high strength, fair joint appearance, low and stable cost, Fe-base material shows excellent property/cost ratio. Further more, due to similar composition, the appearance of Fe-base brazing joint is very close to stainless steel substrate, it's great advantage when it's highly request on appearance.
