  1. Exhaust gas purifier


As is all known, the exhaust of automotive contains a lot of toxic gas, technically solution is to add an exhaust gas purifier.

Three-way catalytic converter uses a metallic honeycomb as the carrier of catalyst, a mixture of platinum (or palladium) and rhodium is impregnated on a metal support as the catalyst.

  1. EGR Cooler

As more and more restrict exhaust regulations, automotive manufactures have already start to modify the structure of combustion engine, for example, control the mixture of inlet gas and the combustion, modify the combustion chamber geometry, decrease the compress ratio of the combustion chamber, increase the wall temperature, decrease the ignition advanced angle, increase the ignition energy etc. Whereas the most representative design is the application of EGR cooler.

  1. Automotive pipelines, fuel adapter

    The complex pipelines and fuel tubes, require both strength, tightness and manufacturing feasibility, brazing is the only economical choice.

Generally speaking, the automotive tubing and fuel adapters, metal catalyst carrier, EGR and oil coolers, are all brazed by Cu-base or Ni-base filler metals in vacuum furnace or continuous belt furnace. Especially in recent years, the widely usage of Cu-free oil cooler, also promote the application of brazing process and brazing materials.

So, how to choose brazing materials, how to achieve lower mass production cost, has become issues for automotive industry brazing application.
